Litter History
Our kennel is located in rural South Dakota, where one can still experience an abundance of  wild game. The Drahthaars, both young and old, enjoy the benefits of the family ranch which includes over 10,000 acres of excellent upland bird habitat and cold, clean water for training. Our adult dogs are hunted regularly during the season from September until March, with the summer being used for conditioning and refreshing basic obedience, field work, water work, and blood tracking for advanced dogs.

89.8% of eligible pups from our kennel were tested VJP.

After evaluating the A litter, we decided to change our breeding strategy, used a different genetic based kennel for our primary female, and went forward from there.  The average kennel statistics reflect scores from the B litter through the H litter, which are all interconnected and will play an integral part in our future breeding plans.
